Michigan Homeschoolers is a web site founded by myself, a graduated homeschooler. I was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school and am now a freshman in college at the University of Michigan-Flint. Homeschooling was a great experience for not just myself, but also my mother. I am grateful to my mother for making the choice to homeschool me, as it was a very beneficial thing.
I wanted to start this site to inform homeschoolers in this state of all the opportunities that are available to them. This includes the many support groups, homeschooling events, and sports organizations in Michigan. I also hope to let readers know why homeschooling is such a good thing, and to hopefully encourage them to homeschool. I plan on discussing my experiences with homeschool graduation and college admissions, two things homeschooling parents are most worried about.
This site is new, but it will continue to grow.

I am so glad to hear that someone else here in Michigan has had this experience and is offering to help.
I took my daughter out of high school in 11th grade because of illegal and unsavory activities occurring at the school and her involvement. She really wants to go to college now and I want to help her.
My daughter is very bright. When she made the effort in school she was at the top of her class.
How can I get her through high school graduation and into a good college without sending her back into the lions den acting as public education here?
